Urban Renewal Cranes tearing, Oblivious to all the living, The love, and growth, That went on here. Open spaces, Where once stood homes, That once held people, -------Gone. Urban renewal Tool of progress? Hope for the future In relocation? They say they’ll make it better, Build towers of concrete and steel, Hundreds of units on top of each other Very tall and all unfeeling. |
